When Does a Mouse Become a Rat??

Last Thursday we celebrated Kelly's and Bailey's birthdays by going to Disneyland. It was an attempt to help Kelly forget what she was doing last year on her birthday.
Everyone went, except Jon, who is still in the doghouse.

The weather was perfect and the day was greatly anticipated. I thought Dave might burst before we finally got there. To say he is a Disneyland fan would be a grave underestimation of his feelings. In all honesty, however, we were mostly anxious to see how Bailey would react to the ULTIMATE overstimulating environment. We imagined her being enthralled with the colors and movements...and, of course, the characters.
I should have known better. It's my job. In the end, her experience with Disneyland was exactly what it should have been for a one-year-old - a perfect place to run, eat, and get lots of attention.

Here's a pictorial depiction of Bailey's Disneyland debut:

So, the answer to the question, "When does a mouse become a rat"???....When it scares your little, teeny, tiny grandaughter!!!! Shame on you, Mick!

  1. If only we could get you to care at all about Bailey . . . :) There is nothing more scrumptious than a darling one-year-old! I love her showing off her figure and daintily sipping the drink. And the Minnie-Mouse tank--I should have expected nothing less. But my favorite thing about this post is that first picture of Mark. It's possible that you simply photoshopped his head onto a picture of my dad's body at Disneyland. The outfit, shoes, and figure look just like him! Happy Bday to Kelly!!!

  2. Why does Ashley always get here first and steal all my comments? This is quite possibly your best post ever. Of course Bailey has a Disneyland outfit. She is the cutest thing ever sipping that drink. I love the picture on the teacups where everyone is trying to console her. What a fun day! Ryan loved Disneyland. He was a horrible baby and he transformed at DLand--so much to see and he was content to just go with the flow. I love seeing how Bailey is the center of your lives--she is a doll. Why is Jon in the doghouse?

  3. There is a new reason every day Brooke... pick your poison. I've got a nice setup in the doghouse, its comfy, and i even moved a TV in there for comfortability.

  4. Jon is in the doghouse because he had the nerve to choose a midterm over Disneyland. He's in the doghouse because we missed him!

  6. I love to read all of the comments on these posts. Ashley not only stole Brooke's comment but mine also. Where do the Warner men get their style?? And how do they keep finding those shoes???? Happy Birthday to Kelly and of course Bailee. She's just too cute. I'm just jealous of you all in your flip flops!

  7. I am soooooooooooo jealous! I do find it funny that we spend thousands of dollars at a time to get to Disneyland (only done it twice since we've been here) and the little kids would rather spend a day at the park. Really. They would. I'm positive the Disneyland trips are for me. Not them. Although, the older Logan and Kenna get, the more they love to see the "real" princesses and where they "live." Cute stuff....

Love you guys. Miss you tons.

PS - it snowed here today. I LOVE Utah. However, Makenna still wore flip flops, a tank, and skirt. If any of my kids end up pissed at us for moving away from SD, it will be her.
